In May of 2011 South Carolina Electric & Gas, Baker Renewable Energy and Axis Energy partnered to construct a 2.6 MWDC rooftop photovoltaic system on the newly built Boeing Dreamliner manufacturing facility in Charleston, SC. In total, 18,000 thinfilm laminate modules were used to cover approximately 10 acres of roof space atop the facility. The installation will provide the Boeing Dreamliner facility years of clean renewable energy.
